Horst Grütering (1958, Darmstadt,Germany) studied Industrial Design
at the College of Design in Offenbach, Germany, and at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam were he graduated as an industrial designer in 1986.
He is active in various fields such as designing exhibitions,
office accessories, as well as designing and producing jewelry.
His style is typified by simplicity, functional use of material
and a love of detail. For more than 8 years Horst Grütering is working together with
Mac Thiadens creating 'FlexiMac', a fine symbiosis between textile
design and industrial design disciplines.

From 1986 til the beginning of the 90's he worked as a freelance
designer for a different kind of clients as :
